In cooking activities, we made fried rice, ramen, cupcakes decorated for Easter, and Sakura mochi. We also had fun with an Easter egg hunt. クッキングではチャーハンやラーメン、イースターのデコレーションをしたカップケーキや桜餅を作りました。においや味で日本を感じたかな！？☺ イースターのエッグハントも楽しみました。

We enjoyed doing kanji puzzles and worked on making traditional Japanese taiko drums with paper plate.漢字パズルを楽しんだり、でんでん太鼓作りに取り組んだりしました。

We learned about space and tried making baskets to have Easter eggs. After that everyone enjoyed their own favorite activities, such as playing shogi, flying paper airplanes, and playing Othello. Some competed to see whose paper airplane could fly the farthest, while others spent their break time making decorations🥚🛫今回は、宇宙について学んだりイースターの卵を入れるための籠作りに挑戦したりしました。お昼休みには、将棋や紙飛行機、オセロなどそれぞれの遊びを楽しんでいました。紙飛行機でどっちがよく飛ぶか競争してみたり、休み時間を削って飾り作りに取り組んだりする姿も見られました。

今週は、山形ラーメンについて学びました。ラーメンの種類や麺の違いについて話し合い、それぞれが食べたことのあるラーメンや一番好きなラーメンについて意見を交わしました😋また、3月12日の「駄菓子の日」にちなみ、駄菓子をもらい、春のお彼岸に合わせて、みんなでぼた餅作りにも挑戦しました。 This week, we learned about Yamagata ramen. We discussed the different types of ramen and noodle variations, sharing our experiences with the ramen we’ve tried and our favorite.　Additionally, because of "Dagashi Day" on March 12, we received some dagashi (Japanese traditional snacks) and we challenged to make botamochi.

We made botamochi with sweet red bean paste, soybean flour, and sesame flavors, and tried learning kanji with the book! It's crucial to make studying enjoyable:) あんこ・きなこ・胡麻味の牡丹餅をつくったり、『漢字が楽しくなる本』で漢字を学んでみたりしました！
